Ak side rails
Hey guys,
I have a question. Can I use a PSO or POSP scope with an SVD style clamp, for lack of a better word, on an SGL-21, and return to zero every time I take it off and put it back on? Or would I have to use an AK clamp? I like that the SVD version puts the scope closer to the receiver. |

yeah you need an AK style POSP. the SVD style has a different stop to keep the scope from moving from recoil but most importantly the SVD POSP's are lower than the AK versions so thats going to probably keep you from getting it on as well.
i've been researching these scopes and rails for my SKS and from what i gather the main difference between the rails are that the SVD mound has a stop on the mounting rail on the receiver at the front. the AK mounts have no stop on them the back of the actual clamp mech. is what stops it from going forward Last edited by dmax11; 07-21-2011 at 5:28 PM.. |
