I wonder if these are more reliable than the P22

They can be picky with ammo. Shot a G22 and it didn't like the Golden Sabers. Had a couple of FTF with each magazine. It did like the ferderal ammo and ate those just fine.

It was fun to shoot though.

I have put about 4000 rounds through my G22. I finally broke the firing pin. Walther sent me two replacements. Some advice on ammo, they tend to like Federal premium bulks packs(copper wash), and stingers. CCi mini mags tend to jam due to a bulbous round, doesn't like to return to battery. Any other cheap stuff will shoot ok, but you'll get alot of stovepipes and gas in your face. Also, cleaning it SUCKS. It takes me about 1 hour to completely clean and reassemble the rifle. get yourself a good magnet to hold the two small springs, bolt lock and magazine catch springs. There is no good illustration for how those springs go back in so I'll post it for ya! Here's the link on the highroad.org http://thehighroad.org/showthread.ph...&highlight=g22
Other than that, mine shoots pretty good, it's no target gun but it is really fun for plinking. I have the laser and a 4x scope on mine and it's great for 50-100yds. Enjoy!

Ejection port ir right under your mouth and nose and at least with the ammo I was using(Remington) I was breathing in a lot of fumes after the cartridge ejection. Other than that it was a fun plinker.
