Default National Gun Supply...any experience with them?

They are in Rocklin...not sure if they have a store front, though.

Any dealings with them?

Just bought my new XD40 from National Gun Supply. They have a business office/warehouse in Rocklin, the guy Dave does stuff by appointment only if you wanna stop by, very nice guy, very up front, let me 'handle' the XD.
(edit: I field stripped and inspected and reassembled prior to plunking down the rest of the cash money)
I emailed him regarding it because I saw it in a gunbroker auction. He arranged for me to make a deposit payment via his online storefront (nationalgunsupply dot com), and I went to Rocklin to handle the rest of the cash and paperwork in person. Overall a very clean transaction.
+1 for National Gun Supply fwiw.

Old thread but thought I would bump

Stopped by yesterday to DROS my new M&P .40 and M&P-15 rifle. Dave was incredibly helpful, even holding the guns for me for 6 days until I could make it to Loomis. His store is well laid out and his prices are great. Very good experience so far.

I ordered 7 PMags from them, received 5 in the box. Been over a week and they will not return my emails. When I call I get forwarded to a mailbox that is full. After doing some research apparently this is a common practice for them. BEWARE!

**edit** good news! Just received an email from them indicating the additional mags are on the way. I only wish they would have responded sooner. the mags I did receive however are good quality and have functioned flawlessly so far.

PMAGs seem to be an issue? The Mrs. ordered me two 10/30 Foliage Green PMAGs from him for Christmas. He sent two black ones instead. She had to send the two wrong ones back on her dime, though, he overnighted the correct ones. I'll call it a "neutral" transaction and simply stick to buying my PMAGs at SBR or Exile Machine.

I've waited 10 days, emailed 3 times, and still no response. They took my money and never shipped. I'm waiting 3 more days, then I'm contesting the charges. IF you use these guys, make sure your credit card has a good charge contesting policy.
I'm really ticked off.

Edit: after several weeks and 6 emails, I finally received my package. The shop mailed it after several threats to contest the charges. I honestly feel if I wasn't going to contest, I would have never received my package... at least the order was correct.

Spend your hard earned money elsewhere!! I contacted Dave at NGS December 17 2012 regarding a CA Compliant MP15t. I wanted to take advantage of their cash price so I sent him an email communicating such with a screen shot of the rifle for $1099.99. I received an email back 1hr later confirming that he would reserve the rifle and asked me when I would be coming in to pick up or have it shipped to a FFL. I replied back that I would be coming in ASAP and asked him when I could make an appt (per instructions on the website). That is the last I ever heard from Dave. Today is December 21 2012 and I jumped back on the website and he raised the price of the rifle to $1299.99 and its out of stock. He screwed me so he could price gouge the next guy for an extra $200.00!

When I didn't hear from him I looked at some of the reviews that people posted and they all sound familiar, no communication whatsoever, people getting shipped the wrong stuff, terrible customer service, people getting ripped off. I am glad that I didn't Fedex a check!

Why have this "cash discount" policy in place if we do what you ask, call you to reserve the item, just for you to sell it to someone else after jacking up the price 15%?

Also to note ARs are very hard to come by post Connecticut school shooting and potential new gun laws looming. This guy wants to take advantage of that situation by price gouging? Ladies and gents stay away and take your money to your LGS who is fair no matter what the circumstance, practices strong business ethics, has communication skills, or go to a well known retailer.

Disappointed I did not get my AR but feel that I dodged a bullet by not doing business with Dave at NGS.

At the end of the day I would not be writing this if this business would have just communicated with me.

I bought a Glock 19 about 1.5 years ago from them. They were changing locations and i had to wait an extra week or two so they could get their FFL updated. Overall, they did a good job. Staff was cool. I personally havent had problems with them but i dont go there much due to distance.

I have always had good experiences. I have ordered plenty of pmags and they always ship fast and get to my house in about 2 days. Until I get screwed over I will continue to buy from there.

Guys- I'm over it ok? Some good experiences here yes BUT take a look at Yelp

http://www.yelp.com/biz/national-gun-supply-loomis

click on the filtered link (at bottom in fine print) and check out all the reviews that yelp "filtered."

I also found your review on Yelp. Looks like I got duped into buying your AR 15T from the website. Although it was not advertised as a California legal model on their website. I don't need a CA legal one and after lots of calls and emails, I finally decided just to sell it myself! below is my review on google and yelp:

bought a rifle from the online store. after stating it shipped and my dealer having not received it for over a week, i started looking around for a tracking number. there wasn't one and i finally found somewhere on their website that they won't supply a tracking number because people try to have the shipment changed? but i do know that it can't be changed since it is going to a FFL dealer. so then I tried contacting them....hahahaha joke is on me. they don't answer phone calls and if you send them an email, they do not respond back. I started checking more into my order. I clicked on the link for the rifle I purchased. I was reading through the description and everything seemed to still be the same. I then noticed a light gray tiny little product code under a picture that said OUT OF STOCK. The product code ended with -CA. I knew that this was not going to be the rifle I wanted, as I do not live in a restricted state. I researched the code and sure enough, it is a California legal rifle. All of the other rifles on the website that are legal in california are clearly listed as such on the products page and the description, except this one (which happens to be hard to find). Ok, i've been duped. Well, I'll just return it...oh wait! they don't accept returns on firearms! i again tried contact customer service by email and still have not received a response. I also checked out their BBB rating in California...they have an F. not a surprise. spend your money elsewhere.
