Default Firearms training near Palo Alto, CA?

I have an 11-year-old son who has begun to show an interest in learning how to use and maintain firearms responsibly. I would like to train him to use and maintain a rifle and a shotgun, but I do not feel equipped to properly train him myself. I own both a rifle and a shotgun, but I am hoping there is someplace near my home in Palo Alto where I can take him so that both of us can go over the basics of firearm safety. Can anyone suggest a place for this?

The Santa Clara Valley Rifle Club runs NRA First Steps classes intended for younger, novice shooters. It might be what you're looking for.

Bill Tidwell teaches NRA First steps classes for handgun, rifle, and shotgun at Reed's in Santa Clara. Highly recommended for a good basic introduction to those guns.

The classes don't really cover maintenance much but you can get that info just from reading the manual and watching a few YouTube videos.
