All you have to do is announce the shoot-n-q and start a list.

Let's consider this the start of the list.

Next question: do we want it on Mon. July 4th, or the Saturday Jul 1 that starts off the weekend?

My opinion, being a 'regular', is that more folks can come if it's *NOT* on the 4th but a day or two off instead - given other family activities are likely occurring on the actual 4th.

Count me in anyway... a load of tri-tip and club sodas/Frescas. Somebody competent needs to cook (Ivan? Elrcastor?)

Count my bud Felonious Phil in... various supplies (plates/napkins/silverware)

Not really, but it is a little bit of a drive for you. It is in the San Francisco Bay Area and literally in my backyard.

I'm a member at CGC and was looking to go shooting this weekend so i'm interested. Just not really sure what it is. Is it just some Calgunners showing up and having a BBQ at Chabot?

Yup, twice a year we goto Chabot and have a BBQ and hang out shooting the breeze, shooting guns and eating good food

Sounds like fun. Is it an all day thing or only between certain hours? Is it done in a pot-luck style with people bringing chips, drinks, etc? If so what should I bring?

Saturday or Sunday is fine with me.

This is going to be the 4th July Shoot N Que in a row that I've missed in a row because I'm not geographically near. I would honestly drive up from SoCal and go home over the holiday if I didn't already commit on my buddy's birthday. I definitely need to remember to take leave next year.

For those who haven't gone to one of these they're a freaking blast. I do miss aracherras, tri-tip, and samosa.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make this one either.

I do enjoy these events, seems the only opportunity to see a lot of the other members.

I will be out shooting on the 4th; if Chabot still allows .50 BMG rifles on Mondays, perhaps I'll be making a big noise.

Have fun everyone!

What's going on here....the more members CGN has the less folks that want to turn out for these event? I sure do miss the sense of community we used to have.

Anyway, I'm 2,000 miles North right now. Hope to be home in a few days.
I'll try to make to the event.

Maybe sticky this thread in a few of the other sub-forums, might get a better response (I'm not sure what % of the membership checks this section regularly....I know I don't)

If I was in the local area, I definately would come to the bbq, but I'm in the east coast for work. Even if only a few people show up, I'm sure everyone will have a good time grilling, eating, shooting, and talking guns. Have fun everyone.

I'm gonna do my best to make it to this one. I've been outta pocket for too long.

Maybe I'll even bring along the wee one.

And something to eat, of course.
