Default WTB Mosin

Looking for a cheap Mosin. I like the one I have so much I figure another one wouldn't hurt.

91/30 preferred but I'll consider M44's or M38s.

I don't care what the stock looks like since I have a replacement.

Barrel must be in decent shape and action must lock up nicely.

PM me if you've got something that might interest me.

seriously, just wait for a sale to role around, and pickup whichever one you like the most.

I have a 91/30 that I bought a while back. I need to thin the herd out a little. I will sell it for what I bought it for. $85 FTF

Amen to that. My M44 sets off car alarms at the range with every shot. I shoot hundreds of rounds through Garands each month, but I save the M44 for 'special occasions'. Sounds like an 88 Magnum, kicks like an ex-wife.

Yeah, I have run heavy ball in the past and save that stuff for unsuspecting friends. =) Yesterday I put 40 rounds of 148gr through my M44 and it was no worse than trap shooting with a 12g 870.

Wow, guys... I prefer heavy ball in my 91/30. The hardest-kicking stuff I've shot so far is 150 grain commercial from Ingman.

I usually go through 100+ rounds every time I hit the range.

They don't kick that bad...

about 2 weeks too late for my cheap stockless m38 I sold cheap... I just dros'ed a 1946 Izzy postwar unissued looker to do a mild sporter project using another stock I have.

After a while you get use to it. I did. Also the 7.62x39 from an ak and sks seems like nothing after that.
