No issues foreseen w/ Eotechs. LUCIDs products have been proven time and again. I can personally guarantee their quality and craftsmanship. If anyone has issues, I'll be more than happy to personally honor their Lifetime Guarantee.

As Coupon Codes are being entered 2-3 times on accident or in expectation of receiving additional discounts, you'll have to choose one or the other coupon codes or make your purchases separate to receive all discounts being offered. Apologies for any inconvenience but I am already trying to offer these products at the lowest prices possible.

did a bunch of research today - "first variable magnifier"!!! Damn it, that just mean I hafta have it!

And as usual, no price compares to what's offered here - so with the HD7 from Friday, my 2x-5x magnifier order was placed just minutes ago...

THUMBS UP to Globeflyer for these kick@ss deals!

BTW, those progressive magnified pics are what really got me interested...

Hello,

I have a EXPS3-0, so I had two questions. First, does this come with a mount? Second, if it does, will it work with the elevated base of the Eotech? PM coming for the promo code!

Jerry,

1. Magnifier does not include mount.
2. Yes, it will work with the elevated Eotech base.

The following ADM mount is recommended from LUCID:

MAGNIFIER SWING OFF MOUNT - LOWER 1/3RD | ITEM NO: AD-SM-01

http://www.americandefensemanufactur...w/product/215/

If interested I'll be ordering a few units in the next week or two. Contact me for pricing. Thanks again to everyone who has ordered. I'll be back in the office on Tuesday to ship all orders after Sunday morning out.

Huh? It even has the words "American Defense" and "Vortex". Can anyone clear up this confusion? If it's a genuine ADM mount and $99.99 shipped, that's a winner.

EDIT: I found info on Vortex and ADM on AR15.com LINK

ADM mounts for SPARC

Vortex provides a sturdy mount, but without a quick release capability. American Defense Mfg. mounts address this issue nicely. While at SHOT this year I noticed several Vortex optics displayed in ADM mounts. When asked I was told that in the future Vortex and ADM will be working together to develop and market products together. This makes sense as both companies are fairly close in Wisconsin. ADM makes two mounts compatible with the SPARC. The difference between the two is the overall height.

so is this to say that the 2x-5x doesnt screw into the HD7 like the 2x magnifier does? Or is the mount just for quick swap back & forth?

The variable magnifier is not a screw in like the 2x. You will need a mount for the variable.

I have a direct account w/ ADM but definitely can't get a price that low. I'll read up on the vortex mount but not sure it would be the correct height w/ the HD7. Looks to be the same mount though (other than height).

If it's absolute co-witness, it will definitely be too low to work with the HD7. The HD7 on mine, is set to co-witness at the lower 1/3 (my Troy BUIS). I'll have to check my other optic set-ups.

@Globeflyer
Could you check with ADM to see what they have to say. It may be a customized mount just for Vortex's optics.

you are correct, the Vortex will not work on the Lucid.

I forgot most will be buying this for their Lucid red dot. If I didn't already order an Eotech, I would've purchased the red dot from Globeflyer too. My Eotech happens to be absolute co-witness, which is how I found the Vortex in the first place, as a replacement for a LaRue co-witness swing mount.

Sorry for causing all the confusion.

P.S. my variable magnifier already shipped.

Yes. As mentioned above, the correct mount that works w/ this magnifier and the HD7 is as follows:

MAGNIFIER SWING OFF MOUNT - LOWER 1/3RD | ITEM NO: AD-SM-01

No confusion at all. It's still a killer price - thanks for finding that. I might order one any way.

EDIT: Vortex mounts are all absolute co-witness, according to my Google-Fu and AR15.com ("Sam Vortex"). Posting 11/9/2009 by "Sam Vortex"

are you gonna be able to work your magic with another smokin' deal for us?...

*edit - oops, my bad... I just re-read thread and saw your post: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...9&postcount=10

package price for hd7, 2x and 2x-5x w/mount would be sweet (even though I have already have all but the mount now) - pricing please

will this mount work? It's kinda ugly and possibly not to the high standards that some may require - but seems functional and can be found at decent price online (the msrp in link is higher than can be found):

It would work but as mentioned, you'd have to give serious consideration to quality/function and most importantly looks

I have a few different mounts coming in the next week or so, so I'll update w/ what works best w/ this magnifier.

Our remaining order will be available this coming Monday. There will be an additional (20) units for sale in this special.

If you don't want to wait till Monday there are (3) units remaining at this time.

I have contacted ADM (American Defense Manufacturing) and am awaiting word on their AD-SM-01 mount. If we're able to received quantity pricing on them, I'll update the post w/ a package deal.

Hey guys, for the swing mount, from what I have seen there are 2 american defense swing mounts .
AD sm-01 is lower 1/3 cowitness
AD sm-02 is absolute cowitness

Looking at the vortex model here

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc..._for_VMX3.html

it has the sm-01 designation which I presume this vortex is made by Amer Defense and has lower 1/3 co witness. So if that's what you need the $99.99 is a great price plus it has free shipping. I have the Primary Arms M4 which has lower 1/3 co witness so this works out great for me.

well, I hope you're wrong, I ordered the Vortex because their websites states it is absolute and not 1/3. by the way, opticsplanet.com is running a $20 off 4150 coupon when using Amazon.com check out. I ordered the Vortex with some cleaning supplies I need anyway, pretty sweet deal.

Waiting to hear back from ADM on the mounts. I'll update when I do. Thanks again to everyone who's purchased. (2) Left till this coming Monday.

the Vortex (VMX3) is a low mount for the Sparc (would be great for AK, that's what I use my Sparc on)... but won't work for the HD7 (too low)... some of the other stationary mounts that Vortex have might work for AR - but they dont swing so many wont be interested (there are lots of fixed mount options).

this question might be better suited for PM... but... if you get deal on ADM and offer discounted package pricing, will previous HD7 + 2x + 2x-5x purchasers get discounted mount?

It's almost a futile question because you have hooked up some kick@ss deals - so I suspect you will take care of previous purchasers... I just dont want to regret not waiting for package deal.

thanks for getting these killer prices for us!

No problem. Thank you and Yes, all those who purchased will be included if we're able to secure quantity pricing on the mounts. My rep at ADM wasn't able to give me a quote so I'm waiting to hear back from John (Owner). I'll update everyone when I hear back from him.

If I am, then I am going to have a mismatch. I just saw that the part number for the 1/3 model from AD is the same part number as the Vortex. I see on their sight the part number is SM-01 and yes it says absoulute co witness.

If you go to American defense notice the part number is the same
http://www.americandefensemanufactur...w/product/215/
"The AD-SM-01 Magnifier Swing Off Mount features a lower 1⁄3rd co-witness when used on an AR15, M16, M4 flat top with Mil-Spec size iron sights."

But if you look at
http://www.americandefensemanufactur...w/product/216/

the part number is SM-02 but gives the same description as the previuos model and says is is absolute co witness.

Oh well, I guess one of us is going to wind up getting a riser or something

I ordered the Vortex SM-01 from Brownell. It should be here on Tuesday. I'll mount it and check what's what regarding the 1/3 or absolute.

BTW, I got my 2x-5x already. It's pretty nice. Note: on the box it says eye relief at 2x is 4" and 5x is 2.5". YMMV
