Default Remington M887 Tactical Shotgun Pistol Grip

To my armed brothers of the Remington M887 Tactical Shotgun, I have finally don it. I have given birth to the first pistol grip for my M887! It required a power drill and various sanding and grinding bit heads, a good pair of pliers and a great deal of patience. I have taken an already existing universal pistol grip and modified it to fit the M887. It took roughly three hours of semi skilled work but the beast is born and ready to be unleashed! check out the pix and if i recieve a handful of pm's i will post a detailed guide for this do it at your home gun smithin.. time to go shoot these 3.5 double 00 buck baby!!!

Default Please post instructions?

Please post instructions on how to do this? Or, email them to me at doug.wheeler@gmail.com. I would love to put a collapsible stock on the one I am buying. Thanks.

Should have put this up in the shotgun section, but I will say you did a very nice job. Share the process, many will thank you for it.

I have done the same thing with my 887 with same pistol grip. I used a simple dremel and cone shape sanding stone. At high enough speed it melts the plastic off in little clumps, and they can be cut very easy with a simple cutting wheel attachment. My time was about the same 3 hours. Not very difficult to do, just takes time. Had to replace bolt and washers to get a tight fit, simple run to home depot. The pistol grip was a Hogue I believe designed for the 880.

Did you use an 870 grip or a mossberg grip?

No big instructions, just take the 870 grip and start grinding away until it will fit over body of the 887, add some thick washers and a longer bolt to make up the space (home depot). Its not rocket science, just make it fit.

as for the 887, zero problems, no misfires, no jams, cleans up nice.

Looks nice but I'm wondering about the trigger reach. I have small hands and the gap between the trigger guard and the grip has me nervous. Can you post the measurement from the back of the grip to front of the trigger?
