I have been trying to think of an American style answer to this **** Russian design, and I think its finally coming to me. Too bad I have to guard my intellect from thieves or I would tell you all.

Looks to recoil about the same as a m4. I wonder how much accuracy is lost with the moving barrel?

its unproven in combat. The AR piston system is the same way.

Its apples and oranges when we monkeys eat bananas.

Remington had a shotgun that the barrel moved like that it was a model 11-87. I had one in 20 guage.

It's been used in Chechnya by Spetznaz. The verdict is that it's a good system, but it's also too complicated to be maintained by regular troops (think Stoner 63 LMG and the SEALs) and doesn't offer enough of an advance over the AK74M to justify the expense of fielding.

The AN-94 is my weapon of choice on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. at least for the 7.62x39 ammo.

Doesn't seem practical, it's not fielded in signifigant numbers and from looking at it's internals it does not look reliable (many parts that can breaks).

Check out the pics of it broke down, it has a wierd wire and pully system to pull of the double shot trick.

Neat idea though, I think the overall idea shows promise.
