Duck season is just about to really start picking up... there's a good looking storm headed our way on Friday and winds look good on Saturday as well. Grab your shotgun and deeks and get in the sweat line at your local refuge because the birds are going to be moving!

As far as rifle hunting goes now is a great time to bag a pig. They're very active in many spots of the central coast and a friend of mine took a 150 pounder just last week! I'm actually putting together a new pig/deer rifle using a Tikka T3 light weight... I just haven't decided on the caliber.

I just got a T3 lightweight in 223 as a walking rifle for varmint hunting. You'll love the T3.

Isn't bear open till the end of the end or till the quota is met? I might be going to Portuguese Peak before the end of the year. Has anyone ever hunted that location?

Surprise Valley was COLD this year. I'm hoping it'll be better next March.

There are less squirrels in my neighborhood since I bought my son a pelletgun.

March!
We went during the Memorial Day Weekend (May 31) and it was still snowing and cold. I thought we weren't getting over Cedar Pass.
