The GF's permit was sent in 7/10 and we haven't heard anything yet. Probably should call...

Maybe this has been answered elsewhere, but will my certificate of completion for my CA CCW class work to get the AZ permit?

I used my California CCW class cert for both AZ and UT permits, no problem. Received both within 4 weeks. I am getting ready to send off my FL.

I receviced a notice of missing information about two weeks ago......I had used a training cert that didn't have an NRA # on it......

I sent in my packet the second time with a copy of my recently acquired CCW (which took 6 months to get) Sent it back in last Monday.....Called ADPS today and they said I should be receiving my permit any day????? WOW !

she said "yep"! Yall past back ground on the first day and they finished processing it before the end of the week.....no thats how it should be!

THANK YOU ARIZONA!

In Kern Co. The Sheriff does them and UPS (call sheriff for location) does the prints on the hard card for $20 each. You also have to get a $60 cashier's check for "AZ DPS" and mail all to AZ along with all other documentation mentioned above in the previous posts.

Requested application on 11/11 by email. They responded to my email 11/14.

Packet received 11/20 but didn't check my mail right away so it very well could have been here a couple days earlier.

Application completed and mailed 11/21.

The Roseville PD did the prints for $20 total for both cards. I included my training certs as well as a copy of my current PCSO CCW.

I'll update when the permit is received.

Mailed mine in two weeks ago -still waiting. Interesting that an agency like AZ DPS, which processes so many of these, still has not implemented LiveScan. Why do so many of you guys also put in for Utah when it only adds two or three additional states over AZ? What am I missing here?

Maybe some people travel to those two or three states, like say, Minnesota.

Here's my timeline so far:

UT sent out 9/6, credit card charged 9/15, Permit issued 10/24

FL sent out 9/6, check deposited 9/12, Pending (I've read they take a long time)

AZ sent out 9/13, Pending - no idea what's taking so long, so I'm about to contact them. USPS has lost alot of my mail the past month. Fingers crossed.

As a follow up to AZ, I contacted them and they said it was issued 9/28, but I never received it, nor was it returned thanks to our wonderful USPS! They will issue another for free. Hopefully that won't get lost too!

I received my AZ permit today. I assume it came in over the weekend probably on Saturday as it was processed on 12/11. So 3.5 weeks from sending back my application and that's sending it in over Thanksgiving weekend.
