Default How do I make a bullet keychain?

I have some nickel cases and black silver tip bullets and want to make them into keychains. Where can I buy the keychain ends for them?

Yep, art supply store. I have one that is a 270 Weatherby Mag and also made a couple 223 rounds into chain pulls for the ceiling fan in my kid's room.

I used threaded eye hooks from Home Depot and super glue to make a .45 dummy with a Montana Gold Bullet.

I had this made after I got back from Vietnam. It's my lucky bullet, a .50 BMG. It missed me and it was one of the many I got out of the sandbags we had to replace in our bunker.

They had what would be a .51 but it would also use a .50.
They also used what the RVN army left behind whenever they were overrun.

Sorry, didn't realize that Vietnamese forces were using NATO munitions against our soldiers. My bad.

Thanks for your service yelohamr.

Back to the topic.

I just take the empty decapped brass. Load a bullet only (no primer or powder) Then I drill a hole near the base and close a hog ring in the hole. Install the key ring through the hog ring and done. I'm going to reload some ammo tonight. I'll make one and post a pic.

EDIT: for added pic.

^ Thats what I did exept I used a regular ring. I made up a 30'06 with no primer or powder and drilled a hole through for a key ring. I works okay. I gave it to my sister who teaches at an elementary school... I think she keeps it on her spare.

I would think the best way is to glue some kind of plug with a small ring on it in the empty primer hole.

I once went into a jewlery store in Honolulu to buy my wife a ring for our anniversy. The lady who opened the case had a 7.62x39 round on the ring for the keys. My first thought was, there's one of the bullets, where's the gun? Theft deterent?

What did you guys use to connect the key ring to the empty primer pocket/flash hole?
