Default A gun on the loose

The other day I was at the intersection of State St and Center in Orem, UT. When I looked over to the right on the sidewalk, I noticed there was a gun sitting there suspiciously - as if it was assessing something devious or maybe crossing the street. Concerned, and worried that this gun might cause an incident, I pulled my truck into the parking lot, just on the other side of where the gun was sitting. I very carefully walked in the direction of this gun and due to my many years of military and police training I was able to catch this gun.

Once under my control, I noticed this gun was a very nice Colt Model 1911. I checked to see if it was loaded and noticed that it was empty of any .45 caliber rounds. Fearing that this gun might find its ammunition, I proceeded to dismantle it and put it into a box, insuring that the box was sealed with duct tape and a cord.

I became troubled with this gun being on the loose, so I immediately took it to the Orem Police Department. I explained to the officer on duty that I had found this gun and was very afraid that it might just shoot someone that crossed its path. The officer was very confused and asked me if this gun was in the possession of any person? I said no.. It was just sitting on the sidewalk, with no one insight. Still confused the officer asked me why I was so apprehensive in behavior. I diligently expressed to him that I was concerned because I was very afraid that this gun might shoot someone. The officer then asked me if I was afraid that this gun would shoot someone on its own? If the gun’s intelligence would take it upon itself to point and fire itself at someone? I very conscientiously answered him YES!

The officer then stood back for a moment staring at me. He then leaned in my direction and pressed his hands on my shoulders and expressed in a very clear and loud manner that “GUNS DON”T SHOOT AND KILL PEOPLE” – People use guns to kill people, just like they use cars and knives, or whatever they can get their grubby hands on when they want to kill one-an-other…!!

Simply speaking, I was educated by this officer and realized I’ve been doped by the anti-constitutional special interest liberal community. This wonderful vintage Colt .45 – Model 1911 was just minding its own business. Because of my fear and the negative media propaganda, I took it upon myself to take this innocent pistol, dismantle it and reported to the local police.

Take good care of your guns… There are PEOPLE out there who want to use them to destroy them and destroy our Right to Bear Arms..

An awaken and educated U.S. Citizen..

It's like an 2002 or 3. Nowlin barrel, larger center lightning hole on trigger.

What are using to BT to stand for? edit: I guess you mean beaver tail. Don't know what you're talking about with the fitment though?

The fitment, blending and contouring of the beavertail is what I was referring to. The fitment on most Professionals, including mine, is a bit more seamless than that. Regardless, great pistol.
