I called the guy up to make final arrangements today, and he announced to me today on the phone, "I done sold it this morning!" Guess he got a cash-in-person offer or something.

Oh well, it freed up the reserved funds for an even neater rifle.

Damn, sorry to hear that man, I was REALLY looking forward to you getting that Daewoo. Like I told you before, there was something fishy with the guy, and I wonder if he was going to try and rip someone off by accepting money and not shipping, but got cold feet.

Yeah, I just sorta had this weird feeling about him anyway. Oh well, I guess I'll end up getting a Daewoo from someplace else at a future date.

Well Gram, you beat me to it, but saved me the hassle of having to change my Avatar - I would have been forced to put a third one in there.

That looks like an ACE non-folding stock???

There was a company making a limited run of Stoner 63 underfolder stocks for like 500 bucks each a few months ago.

Mine came with the rifles - however, Robinson Armament lists them as part #10062 -Tube Stock Complete $149.99 on their website. I am not sure if they still make them or if they have any left. They are quite concentrated on selling their XCR and VEPR rifles at the moment.

http://www.robarm.com/mainpage.htm

Then in the left column on the website, click on "US Made Firearms", then "M96 Accessories", then "M96 Tube Stock"

From the RA website:

"The M96 Tube Stock is made from high quality components. The price is 149.99 for the Tube stock, including the adapter, rubber butt pad, sling swivel, and mounting hardware. The tube stock gives the M96 Recon Carbine a 35.5" overall length.

Click on the thumbnails below to see some views of the M96 Recon Carbine with the tube stock."

If you click on "Price List" it gives the ordering details and part number.

Chapter-2 of Georgia Dude (the guy who sold the Daewoo to someone else at the last minute)! This was a priceless phone call I received Sunday afternoon.

I was busy playing Delta Force: Blackhawk Down.

Me: "Hmm, a 404 area code is calling me. Wonder who that is?"

(Pick up phone)

Me: "Hello?"

Dude, in REALLY DEEP southern accent - we're talking Deliverance here - "HAY! D'ye want me ta' come over an' play wit ye?"

Me: "What do you mean?" (I'm figuring it's one of my friends wanting to build an AK)

Dude: "I know you gots one 'o' dem 20 gigabit Playstation 3's."

Me: "Naw, I didn't get one."

Dude: "Wall, d'ye want me ta come over and play wit ye anyway?"

Me: "That depends on who you think 'you' is."

Dude: "Oh. Think I got the wrong number."

Me: "Yep, I think you did."

I checked my call log... turns out he was the number I called for the Daewoo, so I think he just called whoever was most recent on his list. Funny.

I thought those DR's were listed but I mis took them for K-1's and K-2's. They look so similar.

*edit

I think lack of sleep has screwed me up but world guns reminds me that the DR200 is the civilian version of the K-1. But I checked the AW guide and it does not have the DR200 or DR300 listed but the K-1 and K-2 are listed....
