SSR used to make some but I've read many compliants, and they're no longer in business anyhow.

SSD makes a MP38 that was sold through inter-ord as a pistol and that too had problems of it's own and once again, no longer available.

I guess that just tells you that it's not a sustainable market, true collectors will find originals, casual shooters aren't interested and they're not affordable to the general public.

Maybe a version built from 80% tube would be the most viable option right now unless you can fine one of the above used (and convert to CA legal specs).

I am in Arizona, Though. What would be the legalities of building my own, completely from scratch? Complying to all NFA Rules, That is.

Since you are in AZ. There is a full auto MP 40 on gunbroker for $8k and change and several parts kits from $1,800 to 2,500.

Enjoy.

Enjoy.
I would just say do an NFA transfer form and get the Tax Stamp for it. Enjoy the freedom I only get on vacation.
