Default Winchester Model 67A (.22) Value?

Hi,

I just purchased a Winchester Model 67A. It's a bolt action single shot .22 caliber. The metal is about 95+ percent (all blueing still there, just some scratches), and the tiger-stripped walnut stock is good, with just some handling and storage marks.

The bolt and handle are chrome plated (or nickel plated) and the trigger and trigger guard are nickel plated.

I'll post some pics as soon as I get a chance.

The gun really looks like it's never been fired!!!

My research indicates that this gun was made between 1935 and 1940.

This is my first .22 rifle, so I'm excited and can't wait to shoot it!!!

Anybody know anything about these ??? - there's not that much on the 'net that I could find.

Thanks in advance!!!

Here's a pic I found of one similar (but not as nice as mine):

My dad has the youth version of that rifle. It was his first .22 also. The only thing that I can say about the price is that I saw one in pretty good shape for $110 about 4 years ago. I wish that I had bought it.

Hi Vig - I have relatives down South of your area - are there any gun ranges near Santa Maria that you know of?

Yes - I did everything backwards - my first gun was an M1 Carbine - then a shotgun, then some military rifles, now I got my first .22.

I plan on giving it to my daughter when she gets old enough to shoot it!

I don't know of any ranges in Santa Maria. The closest one that I can think of would be Rangemasters in SLO, but it's indoors. Well, actually I know that there is a range south of Santa Maria somewhere (maybe 30 or 45 minutes away), but I think that they only allow handguns and rimfire rifles. I know that people go out on HWY 166 and shoot, but its just national forest out there. I don't spend a whole lot of time in Santa Maria though, so I wouldn't be the best person to ask.

I did things kind of backwards as well. I got my first .22 last christmas.

You've got a good rifle there. We've killed plenty of birds and small furry things with my dads. I'm sure that your daughter will like it.
