As much as I would like to attend, I cannot. Wed is booked solid at work, and for me to call in sick would require proof of a missing body part. Too short of notice. Good luck to you guys, knock em dead.

Are we meeting at Edison at 11:30am, then going together to the final destination (City Hall?)...

OR are we supposed to meet earlier than 11:30am and get to the destination at a later time?

Any links to their official tour stops or times? Scheduled time of the event?

I asked the Google, and he never got back to me.

Everyone - I know this is kind of a strange argument - but sometimes we just need to do things on faith.
  • Faith that it will have an effect.
  • Faith that that the media will listen to us.
  • Faith that this single action will have positive ripple effects.

THIS event doesn't even need that level of faith - since we already know that it will work - but we need people to make it work.

I don't want to get all misty on you guys - but sometimes the dedication required to do this kind of work requires that you do things that might seem inconsequential (at the time).

My fore into gun rights stuff started several years ago with a single PRAR to the DOJ. That PRAR yielded documents that are *still* being used by us - to this day.

I had no idea that what I was doing would even have an effect - BUT I trust the people I work with - and all I do is "carry out wishes" - but I do so happily and with a solid spirit.

We are on the RIGHT SIDE of this issue:

self defense
and the preservation
of liberty
are
inherent
human rights

We need to fight for them.

It's the right thing to do. Period.

Civic Center Station on the MTA Red Line is the closest, from the station you go 2 blocks east and 1/2 block north. Much easier than finding parking.

Im sorry Im trying to understand what this event is about. Didn't everyone just agree that the recent protests in San Jose were a bad idea? I saw a lot of opinions on this forum denouncing protests in general. Now everyone seems to be on board with a protest in LA. So do we want to protest or not?

Want to go but it will right be after work. Only prob is I will have no place to put my firearm (I'm a licensed armed security officer) and won't have time to stop at home first. I ride a motorcycle so no place to store it. As a good for the whole, should I just not come rather then open carry?

I was thinking about parking at the lot and taking the blue line in. I am not sure which lot, but the price of the ticket is cheaper than the cost of parking. Even if its only a dozen blocks or so, Pico station maybe, anywhere north of the ten.

and its not a protest, I think. We need people to show support for Gene and company and meet the anti wherever they rear their ugly heads. This is not the same thing as standing on a random street corner with a sign.

I agree the public needs to be educated, and that we all need to support each other in the defense of our freedoms. As far as signs go, I thought they were bringing in the big DGU/year billboard?

As far as random street corners go:
Quote:
Where: Downtown Los Angeles (across from City Hall).

Meet ahead of time at: Edison Downtown * 108 West 2nd Street * Los Angeles, CA 90012
What is the strategic significance of this time and place?

Again, I SUPPORT all of these actions, Im just trying to understand.

Its a counter to a MAIG press conference. Gene will be giving interviews and we need supporters to turn up and support. Thats as near as I can figure anyway. Personally, I am willing to go on faith alone. Calguns foundation has never steered me wrong

I believe parking at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels is open to the public. Not sure how much for parking. It is only a couple of blocks west of the city hall.

I'll see if I can go to this event.

If you have a cgn blue colored shirt, please feel free to wear it. I will assign a few of those people to crowd control. Don't go and buy one just for the event.

I voted: No, I can't make either. But this is not final. I need to file for a day-off if it is going to be 11:30 AM. I go to work 7-4. If I could leave for a few hours "it might be okay for my boss". How long do you think this is going to last?

So... do we meet ahead of time at 11:30... or do we need to be there before 11:30??

When does the "pre-meeting" start?

Innocent until proved guilty in the court of law

Gotta file my trial by declaration papers. It's only a fix-it ticket, but I don't want to pay even the $25, or at least to make collecting it very expensive for the state. It's a fool's hope, but I still hope that if the traffic revenue system becomes a cost center, it'll actually become about traffic safety and not revenue generation.

Anyone else bringing their significant other? Friends? Neighbor? They do not need to be a calguns member to hang out with the cool kids.

That's not fair. Some poor Government Union employee making 200k a year really needs that next pay raise.

Default Lots of questions - Some answers

Quote:
Are we meeting at Edison at 11:30am, then going together to the final destination (City Hall?)...

OR are we supposed to meet earlier than 11:30am and get to the destination at a later time?

Any links to their official tour stops or times? Scheduled time of the event?
The Pre-Meet-Up place has been changed. We'll post the new location as soon as we have it. I made a mistake with the original location. The time is around 11AM. The event is still scheduled for Noon-ish. Please consult the original post for updates.

Quote:

What this event is about is in the top post. It's part of the "Not One Inch" strategy of opposing the Antis at all turns. This is an event to promote the idea that Guns Save Lives in contrast to the pathetic negativism of MAIG. The DGU billboard illustrated above will be there.

Quote:
Is there a MAIG meeting at the LA city hall?
Nope. Strangely enough, the MAIG truck guys haven't posted a schedule, so we had to go ahead without them.
