I just got off the phone with the Governor's office IRT SB 2714 and SB 59 asking him to Veto both.
Took about 8 minutes to get through the menu and "Please hold through the silence" messages. A young lady came and took my info, didn't ask for name or where from. I did ask her why there was no separate menu option for these 2 bills and she said they only put up the ones generating the most traffic. Not her exact words, but close. I asked her if they were on his desk for signing or veto and yes they are ready for signature. Best start calling and emailing and faxing. Yes, the AB 2728 bill is also on his desk.
I don't know what to make of that one and the NRA Member Council has a hyphen in place of support or oppose. I'd like to have something more definitive but there has been much debate here regarding the pros and cons of this bill. I'm leaning towards what someone else posted saying that since the Attorney General/DOJ put it up I'm suspicious. The NRA also seems to be scratching their heads. I'd think the Governor would veto it just because it doesn't really say anything Flip a coin I reckon. Vick |
