Default DOJ Handgun List Clarification Question

I am looking into getting a Les Baer Custom Carry. The question I have is this. DOJ has the Custom Carry listed as:

Custom Carry (1.5" Group) / Steel Pistol 5" .45 ACP 10/25/2006
Custom Carry / Steel Pistol 5" .45 ACP 10/25/2006

Since no mention of finish is listed, is both the blue and stainless version approved here?

Thanks

There is no stainless version of the Custom Carry approved for California. It is only the blued pistol. You can get an optional hard chrome finish but no stainless. If you want a hard chrome Baer, you buy the blue pistol and send it back to Baer for hardchroming.

You can have it hardchromed elsewhere but if it affects the pistol, Baer will charge you to fix it.

Kruzr,

Thanks for the info. So on the DOJ list, unless it specifies a particular finish, am I supposed to assume it is for a blued version of that particular gun?

It will say "steel" or "carbon steel" or "polymer and steel." That will be the base gun in whatever finish is normal for the steel gun.

For the CC, it is blued.
