![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here's my M1903 with a freshly installed Criterion barrel. I got the rifle from CMP from a few years ago. CMP warned that many of the barrels were shot out, and sure enough there was no rifling left. I couldn't find a barrel anywhere but fortunately CMP started selling new barrels a year or two after I got the gun. I also had to buy a new sight leaf and magazine spring. The magazine spring literally crumbled in my hands; after all the gun is from 1919, I think. It turned out to be an expensive rebuild, but the M1903 has always been my favorite rifle. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Cato; 01-22-2011 at 10:42 PM.. |

Nice rifle. I have an original 03A3 and am building up a complete barreled receiver 1903 Mark I which I purchased from another Calgunner. I love shooting my 03A3 more than most of my other rifles.
1903's are a classic rifle that you should be proud of owning. |
