Default Can anybody in San Diego help finish an 80% AR lower?

I'm going to be building an AR type carbine soon and would be interested in using a 80% lower blank to make the rifle myself. I want to do this simply because it'd be really neat to have a rifle I made myself.

I don't know anything about machining and only have a basic understanding of the legalities involved. I'm looking for someone who'd be willing to help me out. I'm willing to compensate you for your time and expertise if needed. Is there anyone interested in helping?

I might be wrong, but I've heard that the owner of a less than 100% OLL has to be the person who finishes the machine work.

True - but helping isn't part of that equation if the owner does all the physical work. I can loan my mill, jig, air compressor, etc.. and tell him how far to cut and how deep. As long as he does all the tooling - no problem.

I'm in SD - PM me and we'll talk.
