Default Mossberg 500 mag tube extension options

I'm planning on getting the Mossberg 500 breacher when I get back from Afghanistan. I see people posting that the 500 breacher tube is the same as the 590 tube so would a Nordic Components 590 tube extension fit on the 500 breacher? I haven't heard of anybody trying something like that.

Default Not interchangeable

No, 500 uses an end magazine bolt and the 590 uses a magazine cap and you can screw on an extension in place of the cap.

Only way to extend the capacity of a 500 is to get the 20" 500 ATP8 barrel and magazine and put those on your existing 500 receiver.

I know that the regular 500 doesn't have the ability to be modified with a tube extension but the 500 Breacher does, I just want to know if the threading is the same as the 590. Getting a 590 or 500 tactical instead is my second option but I personally like the breacher barrel so I would like to just be able to buy the 500 Breacher and put a tactical stock on it instead of buying a 590 and changing out the stock and barrel or a 500 tactical and changing out the barrel and mag tube.

magtube was a cut down 7 shot, that you would see on a 20" barrel 500. Take down lug was moved forward to accomadate the new magtube length. Barrel and magtube Duacoated. I wanted something that most people do not have, and so far I have not seen another one.

All work was done by King Armory

Thanks for the replies everybody, I've decided to just go with the 590A1 Special Purpose and put the Knoxx Spec ops stock on it. I like this better than my original plans anyway.
