Default Help w/info on Model 94

I have a Winchester Model 94 and have been trying to get info on year of manufacture, range of value, etc.

I've looked at a lot of web sites (US Repeating Arms seems to be of no help)...one of which said that serial # 3589XXX was built in 1972 - give or take a year.

Anything good (or bad) about the early 70's in terms of value? It seems to shoot fairly well within 100 yds. Minor damage to the wood fore end.

If this gun is nothing more than a good camp gun, that's OK with me.

Any info on process to find out more info or just more info would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe the Gunsmith Forum would answer your Question better?

What caliber is your 94?

I had a Marlin 1894 in .357. Fun, small gun to shoot. Scoped it, I got about 4" groups @ 100 yds.
