Default Suggestion for gun belt?

Been doing some steel matches, and have used whatever lame belt I had hanging in the closet. I really need to get a real gun belt, and would appreciate suggestions/links. My waist line seems to fluctuate, so a belt that is infinitely adjustable is ideal! Thanks!

I just ordered an Uncle Mike's Instructor belt based on asking other IDPA shooters what they use.

When I competed, I used to use the Safariland inner velcro / outer velcro belts. Safariland competition mag pouches and would either use a Blade-tech Drop and off-set holster or a CR speed. The rigid outer belt option allows you to keep all your gear on the belt and simply just put it on your innner belt. I use to order my gear from www.Brownells.com.

If your on a budget, I've used the uncle mikes plastic pouches & velco belt. They're not as durable as the safariland. I've also modified a fobus holster to make the gun drop in and out easier.

The Wilderness

Instructor's Belt
5-Stitch model or CSM

or

Frequent Flyer
5-stich model or CSM

Both are infinitely adjustable.

I like the 1.5" width, and most people warn not to go smaller than that, but I guess you'd want to check your existing holsters and gear.

You can buy pistol belts anywhere. I like the ones they sell at Long Beach Uniform. 13 bucks and they last for years. Yeah they are made in China but they work great for the price.

+1 on Wilderness. I have the 1 3/4", works great for 3 gun,
and IDPA, USPSA.
Love the travelers belt. 1 1/2" in black & tan. No more having to take my belt off at airports and wondering if my pants will drop.

The CR Speed belt is the best available. You can get them thru Brownells.

+1 as long as the competition you are shooting is ok with the inner/outer belt thing. The nice thing about the CR Speed (and other velcro belts) is that you put your holster and mag pouches on once and never have to take them off. Also it's infinitely adjustable like you wanted.

The CR Speed is much better than the Safariland.

For dress wear I like my Rafter S sharkskin belt and for casual wear I like my Kramer Horsehide belt. Then I like leather belts over sythetic belts.
