Default The Finn and the Russian

Two new milsurps that followed me home today, a 1944 M39 with outstanding striping on the stock and a matching #'s 1952 Tula SKS.

I'll post better pix when I have a chance to take some, but here's a cell phone pic as a promissory note:

Thanks! The figured Arctic Birch stocks on Finns got me into M39 3 years ago, so now i have a number with decent striping, but I think this is my nicest one. It's going to be even nicer once I clean all the cosmo and junk off of it.

Both look very nice. I don't know what it is about the tiger striped birch but I just love that look

Thanks! I thought I was done buying M39s, but when I saw this one, I had to have it. I have to stop looking at what's available out there as I can't resist such beautiful guns.
