I use C Products 7.62x39mm magazines for my AR 15, but they are 30-rounders. Don't know iof they're legal in CA but they are in CT.

I use the CProducts 10-round 7.62x39 mags from Midway. They have worked just fine so far in my Bushmaster upper on a McKay lower.
No issues with light strikes because I have only shot brass-cased with Boxer primers. I just picked up a case of Yugo surplus (from AIM Surplus) in brass cases with Berdan primers, but I have not tried it out yet.

I've got 4 CProducts 10 rounders and haven't had a feeding issue with a single one.

Getting reliable mags isn't the problem. Getting the upper from DPMS is the problem. Ordered mine back in July. Still waiting. Dropped DPMS customer service an e-mail a month ago asking if my order was still active and if so, do they have an approximate shipping date. Never heard a peep from them.

The banned list is for firearms. The lower receiver in the AR platform is what is considered the firearm, not the upper. Uppers are not banned.
