Here's mine done with an electric knife. The shotgun was done first and I had a bit of a learning curve on it before doing a better job on the rifle.

CPD Industries in Montclair CA used my rifle in a couple of their ads. This is one of them; they are awesome to do business with if you are in the area. You can take your Rifle/Gear to them and they will draw it out and custom cut the foam with a water jet. I have nothing but Good things to say about them and their work. Old picture:

I have since just changed out to the 'bumpy' foam interior since I keep changing which rifles/ pistols I take to the range/ shooting too much to have a dedicated case for any of them.

They all look good but this one's awesome.

The round cases carry 6 surefire batteries. The rectangular mini Pelican has an 8 pack of AA batteries for the Insight CVL and Aimpoint M4, allen wrenches, loctite, rails for the CASV-M, spare part and a spare battery pack for the Lasermax guide rod laser for the pistol.

This is my zombie package and evrything you see in the case cost me $200 compliments of the NFL.

You, KrazyKevy, just won this thread. Congratulations

ETA: I use a Pelican 3220 case and I love it but currently have not cut up my foam. I just took out one layer and can comfortably fit four rifle and two handguns.

Love this! Great idea. Saves you $ on getting the foamless version too!

It's my ammo, I'll shoot it whether it likes it or not.

Hard case for transporting in trunks, planes, truck beds and other abusive places. Soft case/drag bag to transport my rifle and such to the final shooting location (by handle or using stowed shoulder straps for backpack style carry). Soft case/drag bag then folds out into a shooting mat so I can shoot prone in comfort without getting dirty.

Not really a need for a layout so things are just tossed in. I just make sure the soft case/drag bag's handle is by the hard case's handle since the scope is right under it. Don't want to go dropping my case by the handle and having the weight of my rifle supported by the scope...

What's funny is 99% of the newbs on this damn forum don't know wtf this gun is. First time I've ever seen it neatly tucked in a Pelican too lol.

How does it shoot? I've only been able to finger bang the Johnson M1941, never got to shoot one sadly.

Default Pelican 1750 / M1A JAE

Here is my case and M1A. I got the foam custom cut at Case Club in Anaheim. I am extremely happy with the way it came out. The team at Case Club are friendly, helpful, and very customer service oriented. It was a bit of a drive for me, but it was absolutely worth it. If you like what you see, contact Darren Plehn. Tell him Brent referred you.

I believe this section of law has to do with camouflaging the firearm itself.
Such a a wallet gun, cane gun.

Other examples are putting a working firearm (capable of firing) inside a flashlight case or prosthetic limb, cellphone case, etc.

Many people legally transport firearms in many types of bags that can be used to carry other items. They don't have to be marked with "FIREARM INSIDE". You can put a weapon in a grocery bag if you want and put it in your trunk to and from the range/hunt.

Once again you MISINTERPRET the Penal Code. You simply seem to be unable to continue reading and find the DEFINITION that's within the Penal Code of the term you are fixating on and thus feel inclined to INSERT YOUR OWN DEFINITION. You did the same thing in this thread on the AFG on a mag locked pistol: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=417007 and you're doing it again here.

STOP. READ!

Here is the legal definition of a "camoflaging container":
Quote:
(9) As used in this section, a "camouflaging firearm container"
means a container which meets all of the following criteria:
(A) It is designed and intended to enclose a firearm.
(B) It is designed and intended to allow the firing of the
enclosed firearm by external controls while the firearm is in the
container.
(C) It is not readily recognizable as containing a firearm.
"Camouflaging firearm container" does not include any camouflaging
covering used while engaged in lawful hunting or while going to or
returning from a lawful hunting expedition.
A rifle inside a guitar case is 100% LEGAL as long as you cannot fire it while enclosed.

That is a very reasonable price. I wish I could find someone local to me that could do it for that price
