Well, OK:

It's a pre-89 import - an SAR-48. 100% IMBEL, assembled by Springfield armory. Fully loaded with all the Arizona-legal goodies: pistol grip, flash suppressor, and detatchable 20-round mag.

I bought this bad boy from some guy in Tucson in a convenience store parking lot with no paperwork and no background check.

Life is good here, east of the Colorado...

well i bought a 20 parts kit and i put a self tapping screw where it holds 9 rounds it was either 9 or 11. so i welded it and grinded down the screw head still need to grind it more and it will be almost unnotice able it took me about 20mins to do it. you can kinda see where the screw is at.

Here's my DSA SA58. Its a bit of a mutt. Built with all sorts of parts from all sorts of variants.

I recently removed the ejector block and filed off the weld behind the mag release. Now I won't be limited to top loading. I have a few more parts in the mail and should have it operational, with a PRK lock, in a week or so.

My two FAL's. Sadly, I have not shot either one; hopefully I will get to the range when I am back home for the holidays. Special thanks to Faust for the help in building the first one and giving his guidance and tutelage to build the second one, a Congo build

This is by far, my most favorite thread ever. I have owned 3 FALs, they've all left now, but ahhh... the memories. Warm fuzzies... kinda like... thinking about the girls I dated in highschool. Or going back to 20 something, no cares in the world, just me and my FAL out shooting.
#1. Sold this one to a freind that was a blackwater dude...god rest him. Pic below.

#2

#3 was an exact copy of #1, bet could never fill the place in my heart created by #1.

Not a FAL pic, but he was a big fan of the FAL. Was a certifiable professional tough guy. And c'mon- he's rockin it with a Pecheneg! He would be happy in this FAL thread.
