Do you want plastic (RTF/Gen4), rubber (decal grip), or sand paper (talon)?

Those are Talon grips. Very popular on the Glocktalk forum. Ten bucks each with free shipping.

Thanks. I made my own and custom fitted them. I used the paper backing as my pattern once they were customized. My Glock 17 was re-gripped to a 1911 grip angle.

I have used Gorilla Grip and liked it. I am now trying AGrip. We'll see.

I use two strips of skateboard tape -- one between each finger groove. The Talons are nice, but I had several pairs creep around on the grip. The skateboard tape does the job and has not moved.

Made my own also. I used 2" painters tape to make my pattern and 2" wide 3M grip tape from Home Depot. Took an oversized strip of tape to each area I wanted to add grip tape then using a pencil rubbed the edges to give me my pattern. I then removed the tape and attached it to the face of the grip tape and cut out the pattern. This pattern then needed to be trimmed here and there for the exact fit I wanted. I then removed the backing paper and stuck it to the grip. Used rubber bands in some areas to ensure that the grip tape stuck to the curved areas. A day or two later I removed the rubber bands and added a very small drop of Super Glue to some key areas where the tape may pull up.

The reason I did all this versus buying a precut pattern is my Glocks are OD frames and I wanted a different cut and color than is available. I used Krylon spray paint on the grip tape. My G21 is spot on color wise and my G22 has a slight od Mustard color to it, I may change my G21 to the OD mustard, nice contrast.

Your not thread jacking this is the kind of info I wanted. I turns out my wife sells this type of tape at her work. It is used on steps to keep people from slipping.

Yeah the grip is pretty comfy but leaves alot to be desired when it comes to maintaining a grip. The factory molded 'blocking' on the backstrap and finger grooves get really slick when your hands or gun get oily, sweaty or wet.

The Grip tape allows you to maintain your grip during these adverse conditions by increasing the ammount of friction, similar to the 25-30 lpi checkering you find on metal frames. Also not as drastic as stippling.

If Glock would have reversed the design of their 'blocking' I think it would work much better, as it is the 'blocking' designs makes it slick. Glock is addressing this with the RTF2 and Gen 4 design, but we will see how long those tiny dots last over time.
