Default Holster for CCW Training/Qualifying Class (Orange County)?

Will I need a holster for a future CCW training/licensing class in Orange County? Or do they just shoot from the lane table at the range?

If yes, does IWB or OWB matter? If IWB is ok, can I go belt/clipless, e.g., a Sticky/Remora holster?

Thanks for any info

I heard :
supply your own with weapons you want on CCW with Outside Waist Band..
make sure your weapon will withdraw without holster staying on..
But that's word of mouth and others will correct me if I'm wrong..

Different classes have different requirements. Check with the instructor. Only they can answer your question. Even if you mentioned which instructor you are going to, they could have changed their class since anyone here took it.

Your instructor's website should have all the details of what required, firearm, holster, ammo, lunch/snacks, everything else. Have you checked there?

On the other hand, you need holsters. Buy a couple IWB & OWB.

Are you talking about an official class with CCW qualifying? Or just a CCW focused training course?

Either way, contact the instructor, they are the only individual who knows what you need.

I haven't decided on a specific location, yet. But when I looked at the OC Firearms Training and Artemis Defense websites, I didn't see any specifics listed on holsters.

Anyways, yes, I will need to look for holster info specifically for CCW qualifying classes.

I did just buy a Sticky holster for my first holster.....I'm pretty sure I will at least want a clipless for simple, errand-running days. I never wear belts....at least, not yet.

I suppose I'll be trying Kydex and other forms one day soon....

At FAST OC they recommend an owb, non kydex, without thumb break strap and a separate 2 magazine pouch
