Default Unlimited number of guns on OC CCW

Heard it today, orange county will allow unlimited guns on their CCW's when their new online application program kicks off in a couple of weeks. Way to go OCSD! I heard they will become even more efficient. Considering they are operating at warp speed now, this will be amazing.

Where did you hear this?

By unlimited, do you mean that they won't list (on your permit) and/or make you qualify each weapon?

None of my out of state permits list my guns on my permit.

More details, please...

You will still have to list and qualify with each weapon.

It's hard to get excited about this. I currently have four listed, but only find myself carrying three. Besides, looking at the back of the card, there's only room for a couple more, so it's really not "unlimited."

You're correct, i have 5 listed, but seem to carry the same one all the time. Imagine the qualification time and money. "Hey everyone we will be issuing certificates as soon as tackleberry is done qualifying with his 22 weapons. 3 hours later, he's almost done."

It's my understanding that they will be issuing a continuation card/s.

If its truly unlimited - then the smart thing to do is have the shooter qualify - as a shooter, not the actual firearms. But, hey - its CA and anything that makes sense in reality does not make sense. Would save the department a lot of paperwork and research time.

It should be unlimited. Here in CO, you get a CHP (CCW), you carry whatever you feel like carrying.

Baby steps, brother.
A few short years ago, virtually no one could CCW. Then we could cary three. Then we could carry five. Now it's unlimited. The next logical step would be qualifying the shooter, rather than the gun, like you suggest.
