Default Sniper:Deadliest mission

Was on History Channel today. Showed a mission with an M107 ("The Light Fifty": .50 BMG - 12.7x99mm) Barret used by an Army Sniper in Afghanistan who landed a 1,310 meter shot.... Pretty insane or.. no?

I beliebe Carlos Hathcock made over 2,000 yard shot with a M2 machinegun firing a single shot. The story is inthe book "Marine Sniper".

Anyways, those long sniper shots are amazing.

Yep.....a clean 2,000 yard; some say it was 2,500 yards. Carlos used a M-2 .50 caliber machine gun with an eight power Unertl scope. Happened in February 1967 in Duc Pho, Vietnam.
