Default Experience with a Savage Edge Rifle?

Hey, all:

Considering a 2nd rifle in both 30-06 and 223, something to have as backup or to have a friend use at the range/hunting.

I have read positive reviews about the Edge, that it is a very solid, well-made, entry level rifle. Reasonably accurate, good trigger, etc. Does anyone have first hand experience with one? What are your impressions?

Thanks!

Im not entirely sure but I think its a stevens 200 action, which is not bad.
I think the stock on the edge kinda sucks but you should be able to drop it into a standard model 10/110 pattern rifle stock.

I've read reviews and they are pretty good. I personally wouldn't get a '06 in the Edge. I've handled the rifle and it is LIGHT. I think it would have an attitude when shot.
