I placed my order Friday night and I just got the confirmation email that my two went out in the mail.

Did you order something else that you are waiting on?

Nice.

What about a 5th gen with a ball-spring detent that impinges on a screw cam that after you screw the setup down, you simply click from locked mag, to BB config and finally free state config using a tool?

I got mine yesterday.

It does include the allen wrench.

I like it. It does things that nothing else does with it's fixed mag position.

On the other hand, in the free state/rimfire configuration it needs more of a push than a standard mag lock.

I showed it to a couple friends and they seemed to prefer the radlock because it can use an easier to find screwdriver to switch modes. I don't think that's an issue because switching modes is not something you should need to do very often and making it easy seems like it would lend itself to unintentional AW configurations.

In all, it does have a value beyond the origional Bullet Button but the origional is cheaper and keeps it very simple, one mode.

I think the CAL15BS is still my favorite but time will tell.

If I didn't have the Raddlock on my ARs then I would have grabbed this, but so far I am satisfied with raddlock. Probably on my next AR project.

Very nice product though.

Kit comes with Allen Wrench.

Just a note in that the red wonder tool (not included) really makes the install go much faster and smoother.

Just received mine and started to install it. Are the threads in the 'cage' supposed to br threaded all the way through?

My set screw seems to bottom out leaving half the screw sticking out of the cage. I'm afraid I'll snap the allen wrench if I try to tighten any further...

What's the 'red wonder tool'?

Never mind, I found it on the website...

Thanks,

Mark

You may have some anodizing on the threads. Best to take it off the gun and thread the BB set screw through from the back side of the cage (small hole side)thereby removing any anodization residue from the threads. Then re-install properly. Should solve your problem.

Mark,

If clearing the threads as Rob suggested, does not cure the problem, PM me your address, and I'll get a new cage out today, via USPS.

Thanks,

Darin

Thanks Darin. I actually did try to thread it in from the backside with no luck. Doesn't look like it was tapped all the way through.

I'll send you my addy via PM...

Just curious: what is the mechanism that prevent the BBC to NOT work with mag larger than 10 rounds? I.e. If I am traveling to NV or any state with no 10 rounds restrictions

That Mechanism would be your hand and your brain. Do not place a magazine larger than a 10 round in your gun and you are good to go. When in another state, use your allen wrench to convert the BBC to work as a mag release and then place whatever size magazine is legal in the state you are in. Simple as that!

I would recommend as far is to fully lock the mag release during transport so there are no mistakes or issues then twist away to the appropriate setting based on state when you get to your fav shooting range. Just remember to lock it up again before transport.
