Default Hunting Coyotes Around 29 palms area

Is it a shotgun only area (north of the 62 between 29 palms and joshua tree), I know west of base off indian trail/lear road intersection there are areas that people shoot, and a buddy of mine has said the GW said its ok to shoot/hunt just need to be careful and abid by the laws.

Anyone know if this is cool or not, is it shotgun only

Its posted as shotgun only (no solid projectiles larger than half the bore diameter. Shotguns are very effective for taking coyotes. Use a super full/turkey choke and some #4 BUCKshot preferable in 3"

stupid question and getting ready to look in the regs, but for shotgun is there a round limit of 3 like some of the bird seasons, since dove season is in full effect? I have my shotgun with full choke, but only have double aught buck, will this be an issue?

Coyote have no bag limit and no season- year round.

EDIT: Oh sorry read the Q wrong. Yea that is that way for all shotgun hunting in CA, I believe either 2+1 or 3+1. Someone correct me

EDIT: I am all mixed up Thanks for the correction

2+1 is only for the birds. Predator hunting you can use however many it will hold without the plug. You need a stamp for birds and not predators. Just because it's bird season doesn't mean you can't run a full tube. Just don't have any birds on you without a plug in.

Well didnt get any to come in (there were atv's riding around out in the desert) but the youngest daughter still had fun. I picked up a box of 3 inch BB before we went out. Ended up using the plug just to cover my butt

here is a pic of her in her "hunting clothes"
