Hi All,

Any reviews on this firearm? Looking for something to do general plinking and some varmint hunting with, anyone know anything about reliability, accuracy, etc?

Thanks,

sum master predator hunter I knew claimed they wasn't accurate enough but I kinda doubt that. Hhe held his beliefs close to the vest and was closeminded and kind of a dullard.

I've heard good reports on the New England single-shot, break actions. Even considered buying one myself in .500 S&W Magnum, just haven't got around to it yet.

I own a 308 Win and a 357 mag. There accurate enough to kill.
The 308 I bought as a dare and bet with a fellow hunter for deer this year.

Lots of tweeks for this so called crappy cheap rifle.
I poo poo'd NEF and New England firearms for years. They work!
I have many nice rifles. These work just fine if you can make the first shot count!
Your not getting bolt accuracy, but close. I like the single shot. -g

I have no experience with their centerfires, but I picked up a NEF break action 20 gauge a few months ago and I haven't touched a semi-auto or a pump shotgun since. Great little shotgun and for $58.00 new from a gunbroker penny acution, the value can't be beat. I wouldn't be surprised if their centerfires shot just as well.
