Very nicely done.

Now lets see here.. 17 million or so Mosins.... $50 per mag..... hmmmm. I wonder which third world country will offer you your first defense contract.

i hope u are in process of filing this with US Patent, since this thread pretty much revealed most of how to make the magazine. don't want some enterprising lurker to take ur idea and start selling before you can.

i also suggest u watermark all photos that u posted with your name or username and then re-upload.

Thanks for the advice, Scratch. I have actually already filed a provisional patent for the magazine, so I should definitely start putting "patent pending" on everything. The mag is nothing without the follower, and you'll notice I never posted any images of the follower.

Momma Nagy didn't raise no fools. I've already got a patent, documented precedence, a domain name registered, a straight pipeline to manufacturing facilities, an AutoCAD designer on staff, and a significant lead on the intellectual property, so I think I'll be ok. If anyone else wants to steal the idea, I've got more than enough legal foothold to sue them into oblivion...quicker and easier money for me than making the magazines at all in the first place, haha.

Hopefully you wont sell this to all the people that refuse to sell to california. It would definately be payback to those "wonderful people" who refuse to sell legal items to california gun owners and then when they are asked why they wont tell us "you elected them, overthrow them or move". Im a military resident of Oklahoma stationed in California so I didnt elect em and I dont know of any gun owners that voted for barbara boxer or diane feinstien, it is easy to talk about revolting against the california govt when your life in podunk wisconsin is not gonna be affected

If you get emails from any big companies about this you need to reveiw their track records for Cali sales, and if they dont sell legal items to california tell them to "go $%^ their own faces"

Have you thought about having a custom spring made? In quanity its not to expensive. I have custom springs made for work by Century Spring in down town LA. Give them a call, they have an in house design team, you tell them the size and specs and they design it.

That's the plan, but I haven't gotten around to shopping around yet. I've seen Century pop up in my initial searches. If they're as good as you say, maybe I'll check them out. Thanks!

Looks cool on my 91/30 too! The follower fits a little tighter which illustrates the very subtle differences in the manufacturing of one Mosin to the next.

We can say we saw it here on Calguns first!

Great job on the design. I don't own a Mosin but might just have to pick one up along with your mag.

Congrats to you on all your hard work to make this a reality.

Maybe I can force them to call it a "CA legal Mosin Magazine" like the "CA legal switchblades" I see in catalogs sometimes.

just like we tell people not to judge california by the actions of a few like diane feinstien or barbara boxer, dont judge gunboards by the actions of a few. they are not even 1/4 as bad as ARF. Ive met Tuco and Vic at the Tulsa gunshows while I was stationed in Oklahoma, real down to earth and friendly guys

"Judge not less ye be judged"

And no better place to find info on Mosins, if we didnt have Marcus we would be a bunch of amatuers LOL

Yeah, well, that's pretty much par for course. That's exactly the reason I hardly ever join gun forums. I find that the "narrow-minded, self-loathing/ self-righteous, insecure, overcompensating, pedantic douchebag" archetype of humans tend to be drawn to gun forums for some reason. It was actually Calguns that made me reconsider avoiding gun forums altogether. I flipped through a bunch of pages and was pleasantly surprised at the remarkably low "douche-factor" here, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Everyone seems totally cool over here. GnG is pretty good too, I've now discovered.
I know, I know, there are bad apples in every bunch and I shouldn't damn an entire board for a few a-holes, but after a while you learn the patterns and it's easier to just avoid the BS altogether.

In conclusion.....f*ck 'em.

Yea, i was reading that stuff over there. Funny how everything California related becomes a debate. Just a thought, Doc, when you etch in your logo on your magazines maybe include a small California Bear and Star (ala the CG Lower )

a little subtle reminder

Since you are creating jobs in Ca. ......can you get Stimulus money ?
You could use this thread to demonstrate the demand and your current backlog of orders .
