Just finished a one of a kind L4A3 Semi Auto in 7.62 x 51

Was done by Historic Arms out of Georgia with a Mk II Bren parts kit and 7.62 L4 conversion package I had squirrelled away since IMA was selling them back in the 80's

I definatly am happy with the way this build came out.

I will post some better pictures in the next few days. These are kind of crummy.

My DSA Aussie L1A1 Style FAL I got from a member right here on Calguns. Such beautiful wood.

The other FAL? Got that here too.

Oh yeah, both are fixed-mag. These are my only rifles I don't mind going fixed mag, due to the stripper-clip top. All others? Monster-man grip, revised grip, or no grip.

Ok, that is not fair. You have officially raised the "covet level" by a factor of 10... Very Nice.

I cleaned up my WASR-10 and refinished the stock - it was a bit rough out of the box but it looks much better now.

Fulton Armory, pretty basic, with the exception of the NM trigger.
Smith Enterprises mount
Leupy heavy rings
Super Sniper 10x
cheek rest a mix of closed cell foam, duct tape and gaffer tape
Turner sling

She'll put SA milsurp into 2 inches at 100 yards; I wonder how low I can drive that with some good handloads...

Nope... my names not Allen. but I'm helping pay his bills!!!

A couple of years ago, when I bought my first M1A I also ordered a JAE-100. The first time I shot the gun I fell in love with the gun and the stock. I just fit right around it and became part of the gun. (sounds like I've been looking at too much gun porn)

I have to admit that it doesn't work as well on the SOCOM. The check rest is a little too high (impossible to get down to the iron sights) although it's perfect with a red dot.

Also, the M1A is heavy to start with and the stock makes it more so, but the new GEN II JAE stocks should deal with these issues.

However, with regards to the other two M1As, I can't say enough good about the JAE stock. I'm an 'okay' shot with a rifle, but this stock helps hold me and hold the gun so well, that even I end up being a pretty good shot at the end of the day.

Very, very comfortable stock and great people to work with. People may say that the stock is expensive ($600-$800), but not for what you are getting. Besides... if you just dropped $2000++ on a gun, another $1500++ on a scope, a few hundred for a good mount... it would be foolish to turn around and skimp on the stock.

I even have one of their new Gen IIs on order. Going to swap it onto my SuperMatch... so if anyone is interested in picking up a Gen I JAE-100, let me know, I'll have one to sell in a month or two. (no idea of price yet... when I do I'll post)

I love their stocks too. I don't have an M1A but I might be interested in changing that if I get a good deal on that stock . I live a mile away from the address on JAE website, maybe I should drop by and check them out.

It is not very good. You see the picture of my daughter firing it. Well she stood up after emptying that mag and the rifle barrel (rifle being top heavy because of the red-dot scope) pivots around in the bi-pod and the Saiga just falls over, off the table and on to the ground. She is kinda clumsy that way. The clamp was as tight as I could get it around the barrel, but kept coming loose.

I should have spent the extra and got a Harris.

I have the same bipod on my sks. The fix I have found is putting locktite on the threads and use a hammer and punch to tighten the wheel.

Default first ak

Not a fan of fixed mags so one WASR, one thumbhole stock and a ton of wood putty and varnish=

Ha Ha a little shiny varnish is still drying, still waiting for the slant break in the mail. A little rough around the edges but hey its my desert gun.

My first 7.62 self-loading rifle. JP LRP-07 in .308. 20" 1:10 barrel.

I've already ordered a LaRue SPR mount to cantilever the scope further out. In the pics I just slapped on a set of low rings I had in the closet because it just looked funny w/o an optic on it.

The MMG fits just fine. There is a bit of a gap between the stock and fin because of the larger lower but I can't figure out how anyone could develop a pistol-style grasp.

So anyway, here are the pics

Default My FAL

DSA STG58.

Pretty darn custom. Free float barrel, pistol grip, adjustable stock, Versa tripod, and British L2A2 Trilux.

I posted it before but I didn't have the Trilux. Really makes it sexy me thinks.

"Battlefield pickup" Has the napm"olstet" or something like that on it. It workd great though. I have used a few NVGs in my time and this compares very favorably with Gen 3 stuff. It is about a 6-8 power too, so that's cool too.

Default I love it when a project comes together :)

Have been gathering parts for this thing for about a year. It is made up of:

Belgian STG barrel, chopped to 18.5". IMBEL combo device turned down 1mm in diameter to remove GL capability.
DSA Type 2 upper
Rhodie Type 2 para lower
Grenadier Precision scope mount
DrickelCo Bullet Button
FEDUPWBS 10/20 FAL mag

Rifle comes to 30.5" with the stock folded. Falcon Arms carrier is "in the white". Since it was losing its poor finish anyway, I took it all off for that blingin faux hard chrome look

My BB and FED's 10/20 mag are a great combo, look for a package deal on them at some point in the future.
