Put together a couple of beauties this week. What I hate the most is you get this far and then you don't have a locking shoulder that is the right size.

That is original finish on the STG (serial # in the 39k range). G1 was parked by the falfiles adam762 (one the best parkers around).

Beautiful Rifles, and I love the original early wood stock look.

Are the wood stocks G1 stocks?

That seems to be the only nice original metric wood stocks I can find these days (need one for my STG build).

The STG is original, some of them came with factory paint over park and wood stocks. The G1 stock is a DSA euro walnut.

Very nice looking pair.

I just hate how hot those metal handguards get.

No kidding, I went with US handguards only for that reason but plan putting the orig. ones back on when Ironwood wood is available again

Thanks!

Well - it's a little heavier than the "stock" stock. But it's got a longer length of pull, and is very comfortable - I just put it on tonight right before I painted the rifle - so I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.

That being said - I shot a PSL with a very similar filled in stock, and found it to shoot very nice!!!

Yes - thanks - same rifle!!!

I actually had 3 almost empty cans of paint - so I just went to town - I figure that there's nothing I can do to that rifle that a little paint remover won't fix!!!

The fun part was putting the stock on - I had to grease it - and then took the entire rifle and banged the butt down hard on concrete (with a thin rubber pad on the concrete). After about 20 hard bangs, the stock finally slid all the way in!!! Gotta love AK's. The buttstock was designed as a striking weapon!!!

Quick pic of my Saiga. I took it to Iron Sights the other day. At 25 yards, I put 30 rounds down range. All were in the black on a 6 inch bullseye, and just a little bit of orange was still showing.

that wood kit does make it look even better.did you have to mod those 30 rounders to fit?

Default Evolution of an M14

When I got her she looked like this.

Now she looks like this.

I still need to adjust the rail to get it to sit flush.

Is that the scout rail with the aluminum stick/shim thing underneath? those are a pain. They turn out good, but a pain to get there.

I just realized- that's the Ultimak- long time on the making to get those on the market. It's the Amega that takes l3 guys like 2 hours to install properly.

Yeah, that is the ultimak rail. I gotta call Brownell's tomorrow because one of the clamps was the wrong one.

Here are some quick pics of my new HK SR9.
Bullet Button already installed so the Thumbhole stock is ok.

The rifle below the SR9 is a Vector V93 in .223 with the bullet button installed.

Both have 10 round mags.

More HK rifles to come soon

Nice FAL
I'm tempted to make one my next rifle
But the wife has made sure it's going to be a long while before I get another firearm...LOL

Are they cambered for 7.62X39?
I'm trying to keep everything the same caliber right now...
