Thumbs up The best AK kit Vendor and other ???'s

The best (cheapest) AK kit Vendor...

I'm looking for a good vendor for a couple Romy AK kits. I have seen a couple sites where they offer compliant parts kits with the rifle kits for an additional fee. This is a cool feature.

I am also trying to see if you guys have any feedback on who has the best condition kits. I have heard about some guys getting "almost new" kits and others getting junk. I'm lookong for the previous .

On another note, what rifle kits will fit the ITM receiver?

And, I see most of the Romy kits advertised come with the front grip.
(I don't like it) can I just buy new furniture for that kit or does that type kit ONLY accept the front grip forearm?

I am looking to go for the black "evil" look so does anyone know where I can find black AK furniture?

Thanks again guys, Calguns is a GREAT resource!

The ITM will fit quite a few AK's I am told. Also I am told the underfold AK's have a different fit for a receiver. The Romy's are the cheapest, best condition rifles. If your going black...saw off the front grip and paint the wood black. http://www.classicarms.us/ has real nice Romy kits @ 125.00 with USA trigger group included.

The bore on mine from them looks unused, it has a mirror shine to the bore.

I got a Romy kit from Bocefus on akfiles.com along with FCG for a great price.
It appears to be hardly used, if at all.

For what you want to do with black furniture, check out Tapco.
I think they have a package with a Romy kit, FCG and black furniture for like $199. That and a US made receiver would be all of the compliance parts you would need.

The front lower handguard could be replaced with almost any other. I got a surplus Bulgarian for mine, the color isn't too far off for me.

my friend got one from cope's and it was an excellent deal.

I refinished the wood and hacked of the PG, easy and fun.

the hacked PG is unrefinished, in the pix.

classicarms wouldn't ship kits anymore to Kali. It's ridiculous.

ordered my hungarian sa-85(like new condition) from www.akparts.com for 269.99. i heard this kit is accurate and will fit the itm receivers. I should be getting my kit soon. even though the web says "out of stock", they still have some in stock but not enough to post on the site. They also have excellent condition sa-85 for 169.99. Have fun putting it together.

Same for mine!
Romanian parts kits fit the NDS-3 receiver perfectly!
Too bad about ClassicArms.
