Default Can anyone suggest a good place to buy a complete AR15 kit?

Hi Everyone, I am looking to break into the AR-15 rifle craze. My buddy told me he can help me build one so all I need to do is buy the stripped lower and find a complete AR-15 kit. I found a couple of places - Del-Ton has one for $465, J&T for $459, and Model 1 for $485 but comes with a 4 position butt-stock. I was wondering if anyone knows of a better deal out there. Any and all help is always appreciated. Thanks!

Riflegear. they're made by Daniel Defense, and it includes a bullet button.

I have 2 del-tons that run fine. I'm very happy with them. I have also heard J&T are ok too. They make doublestar rifles. Whatever you decide spend the little extra and go with chrome lined chamber and barrel. Chrome lining makes them easier to clean and more reliable especially if you want to shoot cheap russian ammo. If you are in SoCal then come by the shop in Costa Mesa to get a look at and touch a wide assortment of AR15 rifles, parts, and accessories. If you still want to go with the lowest possible price you can find at least it wont be because you haven't learned what spending more can get you.

Riflegear, Del-Ton, Brownells....
Visit www.ar15.com and look through the tabs located at the top of the page.
You may find a big difference in price for the same thing between them.
Maybe not.
If your are good with a wrench, you'll manage.

2nd Riflegear.com The JD machine striped lower is a great deal, they may even have some of the over run versions for 89.00 left. The rifle geart upper is Daniel Defence. Cold Hammer Forged barrel, full auto DD bolt properly staked gas key, shrouded firing pin. every thing you want for the same price as the CMMG. Got mine for 599.00. those guys are great to really helpful and cool.

The lower I would suggest is http://www.tandaarmory.com/cart/Mega...r-details.aspx
I have 2 of them, they are strong and they look *****in'

Del-ton and J&T are good kits to get. How about looking around and piece together everything you need for the complete rifle. This way you can learn more about your rifle and what is needed to complete one ... Part of my enjoyment is to look at all the different uppers, stock, parts kit, etc. and see if I could score a deal somewhere for the stuff I want. Just a thought !!

Can't go wrong with Riflegear in Costa Mesa or Bright Spot Pawn in Riverside.

One of the beauties of the AR is customization. You can put whatever you want on it and configure your rifle to your preferences. Why not just piece one part by part?

1. OLL receiver
2. lower parts kit
3. bullet button
4. stock w/ buffer assembly
5. complete upper w/ bolt carrier group, charging handle & handguards
6. rear sight

Thats a basic AR, and of course, there are many options you can add.
