Default Kahr 9mm trigger pull?

I just shot a Kahr 9mm over the weekend and it was accurate but what's up with that trigger pull? I guess I am just used to Glocks and Berettas.

That's just the way Kahrs are. I have a K40 and the trigger pull is long but very smooth. The trigger has to return all the way to the front for it to reset. Definitely different than Glock. It takes a little getting used to if you are used to other brands but it is not bad at all. The Kahr K series are very accurate guns.

Often pocket carried and no safety, at least on the original ones, so the long pull is safer. I have a pm9 and it doesn't bother me.

It's all relative I guess. I grew up on 1911s and the first time I shot a Glock my reaction was pretty much "WTH is this .....?" The Kahr (I have a Mk9) uses a long trigger pull with a striker that, when "at rest" is under spring tension. Pulling the trigger turns an actuator that cams the striker back to full cock, the striker then slips off the actuator and "bang". I'm not much into the DA semi but it's a pretty neat set up. Not a whole lot of moving parts. I do think it lends itself to self defense type shooting only.

I had a Kahr CW9 and the trigger was pretty bad, had a hard time keeping myself on target past 15 yards, but again its a SD pistol.

Kahr made the trigger long for self defense purposes. And the reset is definitely different from Glocks. But the nice thing about it is that it's a smooth trigger pull. I'm more accurate with it than my Glock.

too smooth or too light?

the longer reset does take some practice to get used to. what you gain with the longer pull is leverage for it's lightness in DA. it is an easy transition for folks changing over from a S&W J-frame like the M-642
