Thank you

We're almost out, I think there is enough for one, maybe two weeks at the current pace. After that it will be July/August before the next production run will be ready.

Here are a couple of discussions/posts about the selector that offers more details, until our website is updated:
M4C
AR15

Thank you.

At this time, we are only selling the BAD-Ambi Selector Switch set with (3) levers as this is the first production run and they are made this way for people to try out before deciding.

We are surprised by how many people changed their minds during the prototype phase and even in the past couple of weeks since the product was lunched. Many think they like the SHORT lever but ended up liking the THIN lever better after they had a chance to try it. It also happened just as frequently the other way around. I, myself have changed my mind a couple of times.

We are unable to break up the remaining sets of our selector until the next production run as it will leave us with incomplete sets. We are just about sold out of them.

However, Henderson Defense Industries have our selectors in stock in (2) lever configurations.

Here is HDI's post.

Or you can go directly to their site here

Thank you.

Hi Gasman,

We have received a lot of requests for backorders on the BAD-Ambi Safety Selector in addition to yours.

We have shy away from allowing back orders as it is difficult to set an exactly delivery date due to some of the manufacturing processes that are beyond our control. We don't want our customers to be upset if we say end of July and then the product doesn't show up until end of August.

With that said, we have received enough emails and phone calls from people such as yourself about opening up the backorder and telling us that they understand that the delivery date may vary. So, we have decided to allow backorders for the BAD-Ambi Safety Selector as of today.
The Price is $60 with FREE USPS First Class Mail Shipping (3-5 business days).

USE "FREESHIP" Coupon Code during check-out. ***MAKE SURE YOU CLICK APPLY***

Here is a production progress photo of the Selector Levers:

Thank you.

Regards,

George

BTW - The new and all future production kits will include a high quality Safety Detent (Machined out of Hardened Stainless Steel, made for us by KNS Precision - Made in USA) and a higher quality T10 Torx L-Key (Also Made in USA).

Comparison to a typical safety detent:

An old and misshapen Safety Detent can cause the rotation to feel gritty or have a sloppy lock up.

This is one of the aspects we can't control with the Safety Selector alone so we decided to include a high quality Safety Detent with every BAD-Ambi Safety Selector kit to minimize the variables at no added cost.

Hi guys, many of you may know me from ar15.com and m4carbine.net, I'm in CA and my membership here is long over due

Full disclosure: I'm one of the guys at Battle Arms Development.

I hope to contribute to calguns.net as I have on the other sites, I'm not here just to hawk our gear.

A few more things about our ambidextrous safety selector:

After the initial production run, we digested user feedback and suggestions and introduced the PIP (product improvement program) enhancements that will be included in this incoming and all future productions:

1. We want to make sure an old or misshapen detent will not interfere with our selector. Such a detent will prove to be a problem with any new selector, a KNS Precision stainless steel selector detent will be included in every kit.
2. Inclusion of a higher quality T10 wrench.
3. Optional thin-short lever, it can be purchased separately, or replace any of the three levers in the standard kit.
4. The thickness of the flat/cam area of the selector axis has been reduced for better compatibility with LMT’s 2 stage and Wilson Combat trigger. To date, existing units have worked well with standard, JP, RRA, Geiselle, and WOA triggers, and only instances where the LMT 2 stage trigger and Wilson’s TTU had a problem. Our selectors are based on Colt specs and guaranteed to work with spec triggers. Aftermarket triggers can have problems with Colt spec selectors, not just ours.

All told, the original kits that do not have the PIP enhancements will work fine with 99% of the triggers, and majority of the selector detents out there. We’re doing what we can on our end to eliminate the variables that could cause issues, which would cause issues for other selectors as well, but nobody except Spike’s (they will be carrying our selectors soon) has taken the extra measures to ensure flawless functionality.

Please feel free to contact me any time with questions or suggestions, roger@battlearmsdevelopment.com, thank you

Default Great AR accessory, but I wish I would have known about the new design improvements

I picked up one of the new bad *** ambi selectors a couple weeks ago and I really like the design. I'm a left handed shooter so the functionality is perfect for my needs. My only regret is since you guys were out I ordered from Henderson Defense, and they don't give you the full kit (only 2 out of 3 configuration options). It also doesn't have the new steel/detent options, and no the 4th of July savings!

Other than that it's a great product and I might just have to order one of the new versions so I can have the improved safety detent and all the configuration options. There was some slight rigidness when I installed it in my BCM lower, so I'm thinking the new design might fix that.

CaliforniAR,
Please email me, roger@battlearmsdevelopment.com and I'll send you a KNS SS selector detent.

The KNS SS selector detent is free to customers that bought our ambidextrous safety selector either from us directly or Henderson Defense

Not everyone needs a new detent. That an old, worn and misshapen detent can have a sloppy lock up and gritty feeling when rotating is known to us. The detent and the groove in the selector axis get mated, and the quality of the detent can vary. I'd wager what comes in most LPKs isn't as nice or high quality as the KNS detent (except Spke's, they use the same KNS detents).

We include one in the new and future production kits, so customers don't have to get one AFTER they find out theirs don't work so well (with any new selector, not just ours)

Default AMBI GOODNESS

I saw your Ambi Safety Selector in a picture and spent hours searching for who made it.

I just now found it. Hooray.

I would like to purchase several sets. They are exactly what I have been looking for.

I saw on your website that you are out of stock currently.

Also I would like to get some KNS SS selector detents too.

PM Inbound.

JOHNNYRAMBO,
We're expecting the latest production in couple of weeks, barring any other delays. This production run will include the PIP (product improvement program) enhancements as outlined in a post above.

In addition to the PIP enhancements, we're also introducing two additional levers (the kit still ships with three levers, standard, short, and thin). These two levers are short-thin, and hybrid, and can be ordered separately, or substitute the levers in the standard kit (please email me for customized lever configuration)

The latest production units have been delivered, and all back ordered units were delivered

We have enough units for the next 30 to 45 days before the next production units arrive, probably in mid or late October, barring any delays

We are currently OUT OF STOCK on the STANDARD LEVERS. You can still order the set but if any of your (3) Lever Choices include a STANDARD LEVER, it will take until mid October to ship.

If you order a BAD-Ambidextrous Safety Selector by choosing (3) from any of the other (4) Lever Options (SHORT, THIN, SHORT+THIN, or HYBRID), your package will go out the following business day.

Thank you.

Hi sytfu,

Yes. If you order now with the Standard Levers, it will be on back-order until Mid October (estimated) before we ship. Your CC will not be charged until your package is ready to ship.

Calgun Members can use coupon code "FREESHIP" to save $7.95 on our flat rate shipping.

Battle Arms Development will always support the people living California. I've personally lived in CA for over 10 years before moving to NV. My business partner Roger is still living there. I miss all the Desert Shoots, Training Classes, and the trips to Angele's Shooting Range with my old friends.
