Default CA Legal Walther P22

I have a CA Legal Walther P22 3.4". I was trying to sell it on one of the internet gun auction sites. I received a few inquiries as to whether the barrel can be replaced with the 5" one. Is it possibe to interchange them on this model or would the gun have to be sent back to Walther to do this. Any info would be appreciated.

it's not epoxied, they just use red loctite - S&W even told me this. Just hit it with a propane torch until the loctite smokes and let it cool off, then you can unscrew the nut by hand. Make sure to loctite it when you put it back on or it will work loose.

How much are you selling it for by chance?

Yeah, I think they want people to think that it is an inpenatrable high tech super epoxy, that way the DOJ would let a threaded on cap slide by (lets not get going on how stupid that whole thing is). But when talking to one of the S&W armorers about another issue he said I needed to take the barrel off to do something and thats when he told me its just loctite. If you want a 5 inch barrel I could sell mine to you, I never use it.
