Default Checkout my Multicam paint job on my AR







This was all done with custom stencils that I made and the following paints
  • Aluma Hyde II Earth Brown (This is the ligher brown)
  • Aluma Hyde II OD Green (Used as a base color)
  • Rust-Oleum Rust Colored Primer (Used as a base color)
  • Rust-Oleum Camouflage Khaki
  • Rust-Oleum Camouflage Earth Brown (This is the darker brown)
  • Rust-Oleum Camouflage Army Green (Most of the green you see is this one)

Pictured above
  • Stag Upper and Lower
  • Bullet Button Mag lock with a 10/30 round mag
  • Blurred out my serial in PShop to protect the innocent
  • Magpul CTR stock, MIAD Grip and Trigger Guard
  • Viking Tactics Sling
  • Aimpoint Comp M4s
  • SureFire M300A Mini Scout Light

Here are some pics of it in progress. Total time invested was about a full 24 hours of work and took about a week to complete with giving time for each side and set of colors to dry before starting the next layer.

My make shift spray booth, I used the pvc to hang stuff with a rope and paint so I wouldn't have to hold it.

how did you make the stencils? looked like you took a lighter and burned out the holes?

looks nice man..

The only problem I see is having to paint EVERY mag you own.

I used sheets of mylar and a stencil cutter which is kind of like one of those heated wood carving tools.

one question. have you fired it, extensively, (heat build up), and have you cleaned it, (chemicals)?
