Default quick BCM AR upper question...

Ok Im on my last stages in finishing my AR build. I wanted to go with a Del-Ton mid upper they have for $400. But I also was checking out the Bravo Company mid upper here:

http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-1...urg-mid-16.htm

I like that there are a lot of testing BCM does with their uppers/barrels..etc. Im not sure what kind of testing Del-Ton uses with their complete uppers/barrels n stuff. I was just wondering if I go with the BCM upper without the option for the bolt carrier group; that for THIS set-up BCM does in the link, all I would have to buy is the charging handle, bolt carrier group and hand guards. Am I correct? Please let me know if I am missing anything.

I mainly just wanted to get the upper with out bcg and wait till later to get the bcg. My budget as of now is only $450, so my debate was to either get the Del-Ton complete mid upper(with bcg, charging handle and guards) or to get the BCM mid upper with out bcg/etc..and just get one later(like a week or so).

what would you guys go for. And if you go for the BCM option, what good bcg's can I get for under $140. Might just go with LMT or Stag. Dont know, suggestions would help greatly. Thanks in advance guys

if you go with the BCM upper i will send you a brand new charging handle!!!

BCM is quality stuff. you also should look into the rifle gear uppers that are made by daniel defense.
I was going to go with a BCM and in the end went with the RG DD Upper.

but still my offer stands! IF you go with the BCM ill send you a charging handle!

Del-ton or BCM, really?

Go with De-ton now, and you will kick yourself later. I say just bite the bullet and buy the BCM now, and then buy the BCG later when you get the money.

Or you could wait to buy the upper, BCG & CH together, that way it's only $580, not $597 when you buy them separately.

Wait a week and get it all from BCM. BCM is literally top tier quality, it's getting Colt quality for a much cheaper price. Deciding between BCM and Del-ton is like deciding between a BMW M5 and a Ford Pinto.

Buy the BCM upper and wait and get the bcg later. It sounds from above that due to generosity of fellow CGers, the handguard and charging handle are taken care of. Daniel Defense, BCM and LMT bcg's are all in the same league. Most others are a step or two below.

Since it looks like you'll be getting hand guards and charging handle for free. Get the bcm and then look to gandrtactical.com for the bolt carrier. daniel defense or lmt bcg $129.99 $7 shipping. enter coupon code: freqcode and it will take 5% off if you buy that DD

Many have said it before but I'll say it again, BCM all the way. Customer service and shipping times are top notch. 3 of my 4 rifles have BCM uppers w/ BCM bcg's and all have awesome fit, finish, and function. I just wish they made .308 uppers and my choice for that build would be much easier and probably less expensive.

BCMs website is live. If something is in stock it is marked, the moment they go out of stock it is marked out of stock. The bottom feeders like DTI have been plagued with orders since before Obama became Prez.

You might as well buy two or three lowers because you will be building more.

Man, you guys are really making me regret my del-ton rifle kit purchase decision. I guess the good thing is they take so long to complete it that i can cancel it and get a BCM. Overall to get the whole rifle kit though how much will it cost?

They don't sell a kit, you will have to piece it together. If you shop well, around $735 will get you all but the lower. Trust me the $250 difference is more than worth it.
