Default Walmart Ammo report (High Point NC)

This was Saturday evening busy with many shoppers, also people with no where to go this late int he evening. I was there to get an LCD wall mount and think what the hell, let's see if they have any handgun ammo...

Now i cannot stop thinking how much UPS ground will cost for 500 round of 45 ACP...
If I do that then i'm officially a hoarder.

not entirely true. i haven't really combed through all the places in and around pittsburgh, but the several places i've checked have been pretty picked apart.

Maybe the hoarding has died down in the other states?

The reason there's nothing here is people are going into Walmart every couple days and buying up their 6 box ration. A few years back people would just pop into Walmart and buy what they needed and go about their business. Now people feel the need to buy all that they can whenever they can.

I was guilty of hoarding for a bit, but it got real expensive and I decided I could probably help the situation if I didnt keep stocking up on stuff I already had 1000s of rounds of.

at least it's only a hobby for you, with your 14 guns and thousands of ammo. California has the unique situation where we have an active 2nd amendment website with tens of thousands of members, which means re-sellers have a large market in which to operate.

Nationally, people were buying up ammo because of the fear of new legislation and/or bans. The buying frenzy has probably slowed down because people have enough ammo and/or they're running out of money.

Here in California we not only have to worry about what the feds are doing, buy what our state is doing. So the buying spree is still alive and well. We have double the concerns so we're buying 10 times the ammo. I know some people that are buying a lifetime's worth just in case. I wish I had the money and storage to buy a lifetimes worth.

i walked into a wal mart in a tiny town in south texas 2 weeks ago and low and behold a case of wwb 380 was sitting there. chick said she put it on the shelf 5 minutes ago and she hadnt seen any in a year and that i better not be one of "those guys" who buys it all. quite rudely. and then as i was standing there she told the other guy that if iam not a jerk ill leave some for everybody else. she said she had a new lcp that she hadnt even fired yet. i told her that sucks-where i live i cant even buy an lcp and that id take my 6 boxes. then i had my wife buy the remaining 3 boxes after the guy in line behind me bought a box. iam a dick. fair enough. but a dick with ammo so i can shoot my guns. and the rude wal mart swamp donkey was shut out of the ammo.
