Default 12 Ga. Browning Citori, Special Skeet Edition

I'm Thinking about selling a 12 Ga. Browning Citori, Special Skeet Edition.

I received this family heirloom from my late Father in Law who was a Virginia State Skeet Champion.

This unit was his prized possession. Out of all the skeet shooters he owned [about 20 units], this one was his favorite and my mother in law wanted me to have it. This unit only had about 1000 round shot through it and was babied like a favorite child.

I am thinking of parting with it due to these tough economic times although I won't give her away for scraps, I'm not on the street yet.

This unit comes with many parts, picture below for those interested.

The package is in excellent condition with beautiful wood. I haven't found any rust on this unit, it was very well taken care of. Its a very sweet shotgun, just not my style.

I am being told this unit, with the complete briley sub gauge tube set, and all the included chokes and parts, is worth at around $3000.

I am looking for an honest assessment on it's value so I can decide if I should part with it.

Thanks for looking,
Fabian.

I did some research on online sites and there is about 1100.00 difference for guns that are fitted with a Biriley 4 gauge tube set.

The closest to your gun is a Citori Grade III with a set of tubes in excellent condition for 2800.00

The difference from a Grade I and Grade III Citori is about 400.00.

Used Citori Skeet model are in the 1100.00 range+1000 for the tube sets. My guess-a-ment would be that it will fitch 2000-2100.

Seems about right, but skeet is kinda on the way out. Does the gun have 28" barrels?

Keep in mind, guns are like race cars. When you sell you're lucky to get pennies on the dollar, but I think you're in the ball park.
