Default Ruger Mini 14 TActical - how is the flash supressor attached?

wondering if this could be easily made Kali legal by removing the evil flash supressor? anyone know how its attached? the one on the lower right.

Removing the flash hider still leaves an illegal cali gun, unless you meant lower right?

If you're talking about the Tactical and not the ATI stock version, why not just buy a NRA model. Flash suppressor or folding pistol grip stock on a centerfire with detachable magazine is not allowed in CA.

Just guessing, but I'd assume the FH is screwed on and takes standard AR 15 threaded device - 1/X28TPI.

I'd really like to have that style FH, looks neat as hell I think.

They were a limited run and I've not seen any for a while. I tried to buy what I could and only found two at two different stores and haven't seen any since. I was hoping to get four total.

In the Ruger store, they have a tactical section. Listed is a Medieval flash suppressor with a 1/2 x 28 thread, made by Troy. Doesn't mention the Mini.

Hmmm.... but it looks nothing like the picture of the Tactical version... which looks to me like it's held on with screws.
