Default Is JP-15/VTAC rifle any good?

Your thoughts on JP-15/VTAC rifle, and JP rifle stuff in general? Pics please? I thinking of getting one w/ 1-4x24 scope, and I am hoping for sub MOA groups @ 100 yrds (mainly shooting paper targets and small silhouettes within 75-125 yrds.). Thanks!

JP is good, very good. known for accuracy and is a favorite among 3-gunners.

Absolutely. JP rocks, their barrels are awesome and they support the sport & community very actively.

I shot a 0.8MOA 5 shot group once with my JP/Meopta using factory American Eagle 55 gr!! I haven't been able to duplicate this feat since with crappy factory ammo like that, so it must have been a good batch! But with match ammo or your handloads, JPs will shoot like a laser.

Here are my three. Just shot my 20" CTR-02 build in a 600 yard match. Shot a sub 4 1/2" five shot group with it and placed 5th overall.

On average my 16" JP-15 will shoot sub 1/2" five shot groups at 100 yards all day long. Used it in a three position match last fall and shoot a 2 1/2" five shot group at 300 yards off of a rolled up coat for a rest.

Take care,Stan

Stan. IYO is there much difference in terms of accuracy between 16" vs. 20" barrels? Do they all - CTR02, JP15 and JP15VTAC - come with the same barrel?

I asked JP a while back about the differences between all three and here's their response:

--

Hi,
The accuracy potential of the three rifles is very close, but if you had to put them in order, you would be correct:
1st: CTR-02
2nd: JP15
3rd: JP15-VT
When it comes to reliability, there is no difference. They are all incredibly reliable and durable rifles.
Our current estimated build time is 4-6 months.
Thanks,
Brock

I believe they all use the same barrels.

One more Q. IYO the best (read: most accurate) factory ammo/load for your JPs? Money/cost not an issue w/ me. Thanks a lot!
